Bethesda Community Store up for Auction - 1/8/13

I've written about the yumminess that is BCS BBQ in the past.  If you need some refresher, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Just recently, I've learned that the Montgomery County gem of nearly 90 years will be on the auction block this Tuesday, January 8, 2013.  The small general store is recognized as historic by the Montgomery County Historic Preservation Commission.  It has recently been foreclosed upon and is now up for auction via substitute trustee's sale.

Located on the intersection of Old Georgetown Road and Greentree Road, it is located directly across from the NIH entrance.  However given its historical status and the local community's love for the property, a new owner will have great challenges in changing its use.
