Wheaton Regional Park - Montgomery County, MD

I wanted to find some good outdoor activities since the weather was so nice this weekend.  I ventured out to Wheaton Regional Park because 1) they have a miniature train and 2) they have a great carousel!  And better yet?  FREE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 2 YEARS OLD! So for $1.75 for my ticket (per ride), we got to ride the great train and carousel.

My daughter had a blast!  First up was the train.  It was slow enough not to get her freaked out but fast enough to keep her interest!

Next was the carousel...after an ice cream cone that is.  She was completely mesmerized by the horses!

Finally, we walked around the playground which is fabulous.  Free for everyone, the playground features a small children play area as well as a bigger kids play area, sandbox, and multiple slides!  There's also plenty of picnic areas and grills for the perfect family outing.
