Bring your own Bag - Did you know that as of January 1, 2012, every retailer in Montgomery County must charge five cents for each paper or plastic bag at point of sale, delivery, or carryout. This bag tax was mirrored after the District's bag tax and used to encourage shoppers to bring their own reusable bags.
