Oh Snap! Travilah Square is getting a new Pho restaurant. For those who don't know what pho is, it's a Vietnamese hot noodle soup with various cuts of beef or chicken, totally delish in the Wintertime.
Looks like Pholuscious, (not to be confused with the franchise Pholicious...isn't that a lawsuit just WAITING to happen?) will be taking the old Brooklyn Deli space. They're still building it out and preliminary web research didn't find any coming soon info. I just hope this pho joint can last a bit longer than the last one where the Sweet Frog Froyo now stands (and incidentally where this SLAMMIN bubble tea place use to be!).
Anyhoo, I just love word play that owners come up with, especially pho. Any Joe Shmo can come up with a "Pho - and the year they established" (eg: Pho 75, Pho 95). So just "pho" phun, here are just some that I've found. What fun ones have you seen?
