It was actually a great experience because 1) I fully enjoyed the beautiful weather outside, 2) I got some great exercise walking and squatting to collect trash, and 3) I got that great "I'm helping my community" feeling. Next time, I'll have to enlist some help. What I thought would take 30 minutes actually took around 2 hours to walk and pick up trash along 0.7 miles. Man, you don't realize how much trash is really out there until you actually WALK it!
I ended up with a full bag of trash: mostly recyclables including cardboard, cans, and bottles that WON'T end up in our county water system! =D
