Throwback Thursday! Since all the kids are doing it, I figured I'll jump on the bandwagon.
Did you know that "(Don't Go Back To) Rockville" was the second and final single released by R.E.M. on their second album? Wasn't too much of a hit however it had a cult following, especially here in Rockville, MD!
According to Wikipedia, the song was written by Mike Mills as a plea to his then girlfriend, Ingrid Schorr, not to return to Rockville, Maryland, where her parents lived. Don't believe me? Want to hear the song? Here's a video clip!
